Guided Visualization

by Lorae Perdue

Lie down in savasana. I want you to close your eyes, but wait before you do. I want you to take extra care. Notice how it feels to loose the light. Ever so slowly allowing your top eyelid to move toward your bottom eyelid. Like slowly pulling your favourite blanket up to your chin. ** Finding comfort in the darkness behind the light. A deep, deep darkness… like looking through a door to an unlit room. * But notice… look deeper. Truly see the velvety black. * And in that black, the darkest of darks, find the light. The colors of the darkness. The reds… the blues, purples and greens that flow around your darkened vision. As close to black as colors can get, but adding depth to the darkness none the less. ** Notice the rich textures… the patterns. Notice how they move across your vision. Always changing but never ever less beautiful for that change. Notice the beauty in the darkness. ** Look through the dark… look to the other side. Feel how the colors of the inky darkness flow. Feel their depth. This space of infinite beginnings. A space of no end. ** If you haven’t already, take yourself through the door into this unlit room. The infinite space of your vision. Float into the warm color and texture rich darkness. A blanket you can’t feel. Protected and warm. ** Look around this beautiful dark and feel the infinity of it. This is the space of all possibilities. This space of manifestation. This space of limitless imagination. And know, don’t think it, don’t analyze it… know that in moving through the door… the door to this unlit room… into this most loving space of all spaces… into the velvety colored darkness… you have entered into a place where anything is possible. You have entered into your self.

Be in joy in your self.
